Recovered vs Avoided Value

Value types and how they're calculated.

Last updated March 17, 2026

Overview

Solvren attributes two types of value to actions: recovered revenue and avoided loss.

Recovered Revenue

Value that was lost and restored by an action.

Examples:

  • Billing error fixed → revenue collected
  • Churned customer recovered
  • Misapplied discount corrected

Avoided Loss

Value that would have been lost if the issue had not been addressed.

Examples:

  • Pricing drift caught before deployment
  • Subscription at risk — intervention prevented churn
  • Duplicate charge prevented

Total ROI

Total ROI = Recovered revenue + Avoided loss. Both contribute to the value Solvren proves.
